How to Help
Food and treats are greatly appreciated.
We prefer Purina O.N.E. foods. It provides a good stable diet that helps their tummies get ready for a new home.
We always need blankets and bedding. Please only donate items that can be washed in a household type machine.
The kitties loves baby blankets and pillow shams.
Toys, Toys, Toys!
Dog and cat toys are very much appreciated.
We are always seeking volunteers 18 or older to help walk the dogs and to play with cats and/or dogs.
Monetary donations are always needed as well. All donations will help with the operational costs and medical bills. Donations are tax deductible.

How to Adopt
The first step in adopting your new family member is to complete an application. Our staff member will review your application and complete a home visit. Once approved, you will be required to sign an adoption contract.
The adoption fee for dogs is $100 and the fee for cats is $50.
Duke's Animal Haven Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides a safe haven for dogs/cats until they can be placed in a good adoptive home or be transferred to another no-kill rescue group.
We have 14 indoor/outdoor runs for the dogs where they can be comfortable in a climate-controlled environment. We also have a large play area so they can have daily playtime and exercise after their quarantine period has passed.
For our feline friends, we have two spacious rooms where they can freely lounge, play, and eat in a cage-free environment. We have a patio area secured with netting to allow our cats to go outside for some fresh air. We hope to eventually turn these areas into sunrooms so they can use them during all types of weather.
We do not accept animals from the general public. Any animals abandoned at our facility will be taken to the Haywood County Animal Shelter at 245 Hemlock Street in Waynesville - (828) 456-5338.
